• Agreement unravels to leave MotoGP without a track
Circuit of Wales officials said they remain committed to delivering this year’s British round of MotoGP despite failing to reach agreement with interim host Donington Park over funding.
Last year the circuit signed a five-year agreement with the MotoGP rights-holders, Dorna, to stage the race, despite the fact construction work had yet to start at the troubled Ebbw Vale facility. It resulted in CoW signing an agreement with Donington for them to step in and deliver the event on 30 August, before taking up the running from next year.
