LTA makes changes to Wimbledon wild card policy for British players

• Criteria no longer based solely on world rankings

• New policy likely to favour younger players

• Broady hits LTA with broadside after rare success

Being ranked in the world’s top 250 will no longer be enough to earn British players a wild card into Wimbledon.


The Lawn Tennis Association advises the All England Club each year on which players should receive wild cards into the tournament, and its policy had been to put forward singles players with a ranking of 250 or higher.
