Matt Machan and Alasdair Evans did most of the damage as Scotland recorded a crushing 179-run victory over Ireland in Tuesday’s World Cup warm-up match in Sydney.

Machan helped Scotland post an imposing 296 for six batting first with a superb century, the 23-year-old Sussex player scoring 103 off 108 deliveries with four sixes and six fours at Blacktown Olympic Park Oval.
