QPR will not use cheque book on transfer-deadline day – Tony Fernandes

Tony Fernandes has suggested that Queens Park Rangers will not be active on the final day of the transfer window, maintaining that the club’s business last summer has made for a squad which should be strong enough to stay up.


QPR have suffered huge financial losses in recent seasons and, as such, they are tied by the financial fair play restrictions. They have been linked with a number of moves, particularly after selling the midfielder Jordon Mutch to Crystal Palace for £4.5m, and Harry Redknapp, the manager, is keen to strengthen.


No more cheque book. We have good players. Bought all the players manager asked for in sunmer. Our players not mercenaries. Good guys.
