Ferrari lead Bahrain Grand Prix practice as Mercedes opt for slow approach

Kimi Raikkonen led a Ferrari one-two in first practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix while Mercedes lurked well down the timesheets after opting against seeking fast times.

The drivers’ championship leader, Lewis Hamilton, was only 16th fastest while his Mercedes team-mate, Nico Rosberg, was 15th, with Raikkonen and his Ferrari team-mate, Sebastian Vettel, putting in their fastest laps late in the session.
