Joe Hart has accepted Manchester City are out of the title race following Sunday’s derby defeat, with the goalkeeper stating it is now imperative the champions try and finish third.
City lost 4-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, the Sky Blues’ first loss in the fixture in five matches. The defeat means Manuel Pellegrini’s team remain in fourth though Liverpool can close the gap to four points if they beat Newcastle United on Monday evening.
