1) Pedal power first this week with some brilliant drone footage of the Lacets de Montvernier, courtesy of inrng.com, the hairpins (from the French for “shoelaces”, you’ll see why) were built in 1934, and all 17 of them are an addition to this year’s Tour de France, as part of stage 18. And here’s another cycling test revealed: a wonderful 1977 documentary illustrating the unique challenge of the cobbles of Spring classic, the Paris-Roubaix – taking place on 12 April and this year targeted for a win by Bradley Wiggins. All of which hard-core saddle-sore can only be complimented by these tremendous biking tricks from the People Are Awesome team.
2) Another great doc here from the True Stories strand. Football Dreams is a 1997 film following the Chelsea youth team, particularly focusing on Jody Morris who came through the ranks to the first team.
