Tottenham Hotspur will have played on average every 3.4 days since the turn of the year come the end of January, but at least they will no longer have the FA Cup to deal with after they conceded twice in the closing stages at the hands of an ecstatic Leicester City.
It had looked like it would not be Leicester’s day after they wasted some glorious chances, but Leonardo Ulloa drew them level seven minutes from the end with a tidy finish into the bottom-right corner before, two minutes into injury-time, Jeffrey Schlupp scrambled a Danny Simpson cross past the despairing Michel Vorm to spark wild celebrations.
