Britain’s Adam Peaty breaks 100m breaststroke world record

• 20-year-old beats old mark by more than half a second

• Peaty is already 50m breaststroke world record holder

Adam Peaty set a world record of 57.92 seconds in the 100 metres breaststroke at the British Championships at London Aquatics Centre.


The 20-year-old took 0.54sec off the previous record set by Cameron van der Burgh in the same lane four at the same pool during the 2012 Olympics.
